Brazil Intends to Purchase up to 50 Amphibious Airplanes from Russia
Brazil plans in the next 10 years to purchase up to 50 Be-103 amphibious airplanes from Russia, the deputy general director of the Komsomol’sk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association, Sergey Drobyshev, declared at the on-going international LAAD-2005 arms exhibition in Rio de Janeiro.
“The Brazilian MSI Group firm announced intentions to obtain nine Be-103 amphibious airplanes at the hydroaviation salon in Gelendzhik last year. A corresponding memorandum was signed with the Brazilian partners. Moreover, we have agreed that in the next 10 years, the volume of Be-103 deliveries to Brazil may be increased to 50 aircraft,” he noted.
