A Boeing comprou o N101KC - um belíssimo DC-3 da Califórnia que é conhecido como Rose e vai doá-lo ao museu da TAM.
Another DC-3 leaves the U.S.
Dream Flight is proud to announce that their Douglas DC-3 `Rose' has
been purchased by The Boeing Company. This historic aircraft will
be gifted to the "Wings of A Dream Museum" (Asas de um Sonho)
www.museumtam.com.br located at Sao Carlos, Brazil.
This beautiful DC-3 named `Rose' has been operated by Dream Flight at
Corona Airport, Corona, California for the past ten (10) years.
Featured in numerous television, movie and print articles, `Rose'
has been a favorite at hundreds of air shows, tours and events while
representing Dream Flight. Her last appearance was on the History
Channel Series "Our Generation - Come Fly With Me" featured in June
2007.
`Rose' began service as a C-53 SkyTrooper with the USAAF and
participated by dropping paratroopers on D-Day, 1944. Following her
military duties, `Rose' flew for Pan American World Airways on their
Panagra Central and South American routes, flying in Brazil among
other places. Corporate, commuter airlines and other endeavors
filled the middle years of `Rose's flying career.
The Boeing Company is a proud sponsor of the "Wings of a Dream"
Museum by contributing this historic aircraft to further the
museum's goals.

generations accurate and detailed information as well as portraying

and students." Per Joao Francisco Amaro, President of EDUCAM
(Education, Assistance and Cultural Institute), a humanitarian and
nonprofit organization, maintained by TAM and responsible for the
construction of the museum.
`Rose' will leave Corona Airport on August 4, 2007 for her new home
at Sao Carlos. All are invited to come early for a pancake
breakfast and send-off for this historic aircraft.
