Prezados,

vejam o que aconteceu recentemente ao Lockheed L-100-20 "Hércules" da TransAfrik (velho conhecido dos spotters pernambucanos).

Infelizmente desconheço a identidade do autor das fotos e onde as mesmas foram tiradas (muito provavelmente na República Democrática do Congo).

Pista estreita + vala na lateral uma hora não dá mais certo!!

Essas aeronaves fazem missões humanitárias em pistas nada boas. Mas eles não tem muito o que escolher, se não forem, muitas pessoas deixariam de ser atendidas. A UN é um órgão que tem bastante recursos financeiros, em breve a aeronave deve voltar a ativa.

I don't read Portuguese very well so I hope you read English. S9-BOR did not go out of the runway boundary. The aircraft was taxied to the far right side of the runway in order to turn around for departure in the opposite direction. The edge of the runway sunk or collapsed and the right hand landing gear sunk in the sand. The aircraft has been recovered and is in Kinshasa for replacement of the # 4 engine due to the propeller striking the ground while it was being shut down due to the sinking of the right gear.
