Skywest Inc. confirmó finalmente su encomienda por 100 MRJ90 y opción para otros 100 aparatos...


SkyWest Inc., holding company for US regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, has firmed its provisional order for 100 Mitsubishi Regional Jets. It has also taken out options for “up to 100” further examples of the type. The initial 100 are now confirmed to be the MRJ90 variant. Based on list prices, the order is valued at $4.2 billion, with an additional $4.2 billion related to the executable 100 options.

Deliveries are scheduled from 2017 to 2020. If options are exercised, those aircraft would be delivered from 2021.

The provisional order was signed at July’s Farnborough Airshow.

St. George, Utah-based SkyWest Airlines and Atlanta, Georgia-based ExpressJet Airlines operate as United Express, Delta Connection and American Eagle, while SkyWest also operates as US Airways Express and operates flights for Alaska Airlines.
