08JAN2013: Air Algérie plans A330-200, B737-800 and B787-8 orders
Air Algérie (AH, Algier Houari Boumediene (ALG)) has announced plans to replace its remaining three B767-300s by an order for three new A330-200s and to order five B737-800s and an unspecified number of B787-8s as part of its new business plan to establish Algier Houari Boumediene (ALG) as a hub. As part of the announcement it has mentioned Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Johannesburg Oliver Reginald Tambo International (JNB), Lagos Murtala Muhammad (LOS), New York, São Paulo Internacional Guarulhos (GRU) and Shanghai Pudong International (PVG) as destinations it plans to add by 2017.
